Canoes
These completely bespoke rsj covers are manufactured from kiln dried oak.
We can manufacture virtually any size and then it can be finished to your own requirements. This can include colouring, oiling and waxing.
To provide an estimate of cost just forward all your dimensions, ie total width and height to cover and the length needed to us via email or call 01937 580580.
Although the cover is glued, the finished article virtually hides any join and recreates the characteristics of a solid oak beam.
We can manufacture 2, 3 and 4 sided covers and all covers are supplied with spare stain, wax and oak plugs for installation purposes.

Dimensions
When it comes to making your canoe (RSJ Cover) we need to establish the three sizes.
The length, the height and width of the canoe.
These dimensions are the internal dimensions of the canoe or the overall dimensions of the item you wish to cover.
We will automatically add 10mm to your height and width to allow for any discrepancies over the length of the cover.
Full details are emailed to you for approval prior to us manufacturing your cover.

The Strap
A matching oak strap is sometimes needed to disguise joins in the timber.
As we can make these canoes any size, the only restriction is the lengths of kilned oak we can source.
Normally, canoes up to 4m can be made in one piece, where longer covers may require an oak strap.
This tends to compliment the covers and is manufactured to look as part of the beam.

Fixing Kit
A fixing kit is supplied with every RSJ cover.
This includes full instructions, a special flat drill bit, matching oak pellets, and a tin of finishing wax.
